There are some very important events that happened on 4/20 that have shaped this world.
Adolf Hitler, Nazi Dictator, who would later go on to kill 6 million jewish people and countless other ethnic, political, and religious prisoners, was born on this day
This day is also termed "National Weed Day" in Canada and America.
There is one more event that happened on this day, seven years ago, on a Thursday, just like this year, and that, is the Columbine High School Massacre. This is the event i know more about than either of the others that i mentioned. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, two kids, who seemed normal enough, were, in reality, a pair of criminal masterminds. The two hid this fact for over a year, and then finally, they did what they had been planning. They brought guns to school. these were: 2 sawn-off shotguns, a .22-caliber rifle, and a .22-caliber DC-Tech-9 semi automatic pistol. also among their arsenal of anarchy were pipebombs-crafted with the help of "The Anarchist's Cookbook"- And several knives, some appearing to be ceremonial, some pure deadly. The two boys took the school by force, holding it for around an hour before ending it themselves. The terror, however, continued. It took atleast 2 hours for S.W.A.T teams to enter the building, despite seeing signs indicating people bleeding to death. It is also speculated that an officer was responsible for the killing of a student at the foot of the stairs, wounded by Harris and Klebold. And there is one more piece of information. As the killers bodies were removed from the school, a blizzard started on what, minutes before, had been a sunny spring afternoon. Columbine should NEVER happen again.
